There was a time when, landing on this page, you would be met with a snappy intro, carefully curated and crafted with the right language and buzzwords to promote my work and experience, artfully communicating the reasons why you need me to mix you or your band.
These days however, my work in this arena is focussed solely on one of the most nuanced and challenging mixing environments there is, Christian Worship.
It is easy to build a flashy show, book a great band and schedule the right guest speaker. The lights go up, the sound fills the space and the people respond accordingly.
It is formulaic because it works. And this is the challenge.
How often is the very focus of worship lost in the haze, the beat of a drum, the rhythmic and resonant thrum of a guitar?
There is both a weighty responsibility and inherent beauty in combining the varied creative disciplines of a live environment and the specific, total and devoted worship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Let us be clear. This is not pushing faders on a Friday night, nor is it watching over a desk at this service or that. No indeed, this is borne of a sensitivity to the Spirit of the living God and an unshakable desire to see the household of faith lay claim to their identity and in turn reach out to a lost and broken world.
